BIO
J.J. Christy is the assistant program director for K-BULL 98FM in Reno. He is also the #1 afternoon drive personality in Northern Nevada. He was also the station's original morning host. He's been with the station since its inception in 1987. His radio career has taken him through Detroit, Toledo, Elkhart/South Bend, and Albuquerque.

His knack of entertaining people and working audiences came from doing stand-up comedy and DJ'ing nightclubs back in his hometown of Toledo in the 70's.

He's been the host of the Childrens Miracle Network Telethon on KOLO News Channel 8 from 1990-2002. He is also the co-host of the Nevada Humane Society Telethon each year on KRNV-TV.

His claim to fame is the KBUL Clothing Drive For the Homeless. Each year J.J. spends Valentie's week doing his show outside in Reno, Fallon and Carson City - in nothing but his boxer shorts and a smile - no matter what the weather. It is now in its fifteenth year and has become a Northern Nevada institution.

J.J. is on the Washoe Medical Center Foundation Board of Trustees. He acts as MC for the Juvenile Diabetes "Walk For the Cure", The MS Walk (both Reno and Carson City), March of Dimes Walk and the Carson City Jaycees Easter Egg Hunt to name a few.
You'll also catch J.J. playing music for the Sparks Park & Recreation's "Leisure Without Limits" program. These are parties where people with special needs can come and enjoy themselves.
